Sugar: The Scariest Halloween Trend
We are now seeing patients our New Location!
We look forward to seeing you in our new location at 6916
McGinnis Ferry Road, Suite 500, Suwanee, GA 30024. We are
across the street from Emory Hospital and next to the
Church.

Protecting Your Smile
Many
in our nation are feeling the pinch of today’s economic
challenges. Fortunately, new technology in our office
enables treatment that requires minimal visits with optimal
results per appointment. The best investment you can make in
your overall health and well-being is to prevent problems in
the first place. This includes washing hands frequently to
help prevent colds, eating a healthy diet, drinking lots of
water and exercising on a regular basis
You
can also reduce costs required for dentistry through
prevention. Your regular check-ups are designed to help you
avoid problems and to keep your smile it’s best. Because
research has shown that your oral health is linked to your
overall health, devote particular attention to oral care at
home and stay involved with your hygiene appointments.
If you would like to know more about
financial options including interest free and payment plans,
mention this to any team member at your next visit or call
prior to your appointment. We will explain ways to allow
your family to enjoy good oral health in a plan manageable
to your budget.
Gift Certificates - 10% Off
From now to the end of the year we are offering 10% Off
on Gift Certificate purchases. Gift Certificates Never
Expire. So how does this work? If you purchase a $100 gift
certificate, you will only pay $90. The 10% Off also applies
to any whitening gift certificates. Give the gift of health
and beauty this holiday season.
Sugar: The Scariest Halloween Trend
Halloween is approaching, and so are all those scary
costumes and haunted houses. It shouldn’t be the ghouls and
ghosts that you fear, however, but the candied apples,
trick-or-treat sweets and all the soda that washes them
down! Sugary and acidic foods can lead to tooth decay, and
that can put a damper on anyone’s festive spirit.
While it would be nice if your neighbors all gave out
fresh fruit or sugar-free candy (though we’re sure the kids
disagree!), high-sugar sweets are still America’s favorite
Halloween treat. If possible, try to limit children’s sugar
intake. Encourage them to drink plenty of water while
snacking – soda will only make things worse! And finally,
while it’s easy to slip into a "sugar coma" and just pass
out while watching a favorite horror flick, this is not the
time to stray from your brushing or flossing routine. Let
your children know that if they eat sweets without their
toothbrushes on hand, they should rinse their mouths out
with warm water.
If you think your child may have developed a cavity
(whether the result of Halloween indulgences or not), please
call us at 770-623-8750 for a check up. Even temporary baby
teeth need to be properly cared for, as tooth decay can
affect permanent adult teeth that are still developing
below.
We’d like to wish you and your family the best this fall
season. We hope that when the sweets of autumn runneth over,
you’ll think of us (and your smiles)!
